Ella Koon’s Bell’s Palsy signs

According to this AsiaOne article, Hong Kong singer-actress Ella Koon revealed that she was diagnosed with Bell’s Palsy, a common disorder affecting the facial nerves and results in weakness or paralysis on one side of the face. Ella said “it could be due to my flu and fever and the virus entered into the nerve. There was also some unhappy matter within the family, so it affected my mood.”

In a more recent Yahoo article Ella revealed that she is “now 90 percent recovered.” That’s good news and let’s wish her fast recovery and good health.

I was curious over Ella’s health condition that leaves her face paralysed and wondered the contributing reasons that could have triggered her to be diagnosed with Bell’s Palsy. Ok, what I’m about to say (or write) might be subjective as I’m basing my observations on the tendency signs present in her EON charts. There’s a possibility she may not experience the events, signs, or symptoms mentioned later. After all, I posted this article as a case study where we can all learn and improve our health analysis using the Elements of Numbers (EON) method.

When I first looked at her Personal Year 2014 (PY2014) chart, the obvious signs are related to the Metal element (more to that later). I then searched the Internet to find out more, and according to an article posting (by Fay-Meling von Moltke Pao) in this Acupuncture.com site, it states that “for most people with Bell’s palsy, the effects can be severely disfiguring and can cause great Anxiety. Often the first thing that people think of is that they’ve had a stroke.” And “In most Bell’s palsy cases however, the patient has a deficient immune system that prevents them from effectively combating the illness…”

Stroke is one of the health conditions related to the Metal element, besides the other symptoms like respiratory and lungs problems (flu, cough), skin, and mental (brain). There are different ways to strengthen a weak element depending on the severity (of the Qi deficiency) and urgency (to enhance and strength the Qi energies) when we apply the Five Elements principles. Fay-Meling wrote “acupuncture can help to move the blood circulation and energy to the affected site to help restore function, and also has immune enhancing effects, it is a welcome addition to the treatment of peripheral facial paralysis that can increase the potential for a faster and complete recovery.” That’s a short-termed and immediate remedy but not recommended for prolong applications due to the tendency signs in her chart.

Now that we have identified Metal as the main contributing factor that triggered her Bell’s palsy condition, can you identify the number 6 (Metal) in her PY2014 chart?

This quick observation is just the beginning and is just the basic analytical approach in using the EON method. There are extended methods (not mentioned here) that you can identify on a person’s health signs and probable triggering reasons in a particular year. Ella’s “unhappy matters” contributing to her health condition might be related to financial or legal matters. The Root 5 in her PY2014 chart shows the need to be more humble, adaptable, and to face challenges positively. There are signs suggesting distractions and loss of directions in 2014. Ella has to take care of her health regardless of her Bell’s palsy condition as the “Double Effect Year” vibes would be strong next year (check her PY2015 chart). The Root 6 in her PY2015 chart shows the need to improve her mental, immune and respiratory conditions. She also need to focus on happier work-life balance at work and home amid the financial growth potentials.
